MA886 Digital Refractometer for measurements of Sodium Chloride
The MA886 digital refractometer is an optical instrument based on the measurement of the refractive index of an aqueous solution, to determine the concentration of sodium chloride. Used for food preparations is not to be used for measurements
salinity of seawater.
The measurement of refractive index is simple and quick and provides a recognized method for the analysis of the content of sodium chloride. After performing a simple and rapid calibration with distilled or deionized water, in a few seconds the instrument measures the refractive index of the sample.
The digital refractometer eliminates the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and is easily portable for measurements in the field.
The MA886 refractometer Milwaukee uses the internationally recognized parameters for conversion into units and temperature compensation.
It can show the concentration of sodium chloride (NaCl) in four different units: g / 100 g, g / 100 mL, Specific Gravity, and ° Baumé.
The temperature (in ° C or ° F) is displayed simultaneously with the measurement (with 3 of the measurement scales) on the large screen at two levels. They also display helpful messages, icons and battery indication being phased out.
Highlights:
- Models with IP65
- Automatic temperature compensation (ATC)
- Battery powered, with the indication of low level and BEPS (to avoid measurement errors due to low battery)
- Auto power off after 3 minutes of inactivity.
- The instrument is supplied complete with MA886: 9V battery and instruction manual.
